Happy Birthday Ishigaki

Hong Kong, 16 Jun, 2017

Today marks the 1st anniversary of HK Express’ exclusive route between Hong Kong and Ishigaki, a pristine island in the Okinawa archipelago. The celebration coincides with the International Travel Expo 2017 (ITE 2017) where HK Express has teamed up with the Okinawa Convention & Visitors Bureau and the Yaeyama Visitors Bureau to provide an interactive, culture-packed experience for visitors.

During ITE, which takes place in Hong Kong from today to 18 June 2017, guests will find workshops and performances at the fun-filled Okinawa booth (booth number: E101). For a taste of the southern Japanese island, visit the booth to try sand photo frame-making, or simply relax and enjoy a three-string “Sanshin” music performance.

Ready for the real thing? Guests are in luck now! To celebrate the 1st anniversary of the Hong Kong-Ishigaki route, HK Express is launching an awesome promotion: 20% off* flights by using the “HKITE” promo code at checkout. The online booking period runs from today to 19 June 2017, with travel valid from 15 June 2017 to 24 March 2018.

The anniversary deals also coincide with the airline’s Mega Sale from today to 18 June 2017, where guests can enjoy HKD68* one-way fares from Hong Kong to Ishigaki. This means  double discounts if you use the “HKITE” promo code for an extra 20% off* the Mega Sale fares.

Since launching our service to Ishigaki a year ago, we have been so impressed with the demand that we have added additional frequency. said Luke Lovegrove, Commercial Director of HK Express. We have carried almost 45,000 passengers to and from this beautiful, untouched Japanese island so far. If you haven't been to this idyllic destination, I would really encourage you to try it out.

Ishigaki is a nature lover’s paradise – boasting gorgeous beaches, mangroves, mountains, and crystal-clear waters. Whether travelling with friends, family, or a romantic flame, a trip to Ishigaki promises a great mix of surf ‘n’ turf — guests can go hiking in the morning, hit the beach after lunch, and savour fresh seafood meals whenever you please.
