HK Express Renews IOSA Certificate

The Hong Kong-based Airline Demonstrates the World’s Safety and Operational Standards

Hong Kong-based airline HK Express is delighted to announce the renewal of its IATA Operational Safety Audit (IOSA) certificate for the next two years. The announcement is a testament to the airline’s safety commitment and excellent service.

IOSA is an internationally recognised and accepted safety evaluation programme that acknowledges only the world’s quality airlines, assessing each airline’s operational management and control systems. The standards are regularly updated in response to the new challenges and demands of global aviation.

This year, HK Express has taken several significant steps, including the implementation of the electronic Safety Management System, Quality Management System and SeMS platform, (Ideagen’s Coruson), the expansion of the Just Culture Committee, as well as the establishment of a dedicated daily Operations Quality Control / Assurance function which serves as a “double firewall” on top of the existing oversight teams on operations.

 Safety, security and compliance will continue to be among the top priorities in HK Express, said Roger Lee, Director of Quality, Safety and Security at HK Express. “I am very proud of the team involved in the IOSA renewal process and the teams from the Quality, Safety and Security (QSS) and Operations Departments who are dedicated to provide support to the company by overseeing and delivering safety and security to our valued guests. 
 Safety is a never-ending journey, we are honoured to have once again renewed our IOSA certificate,  shared Li Dianchun, President of HK Express. “We will continue to work hard on this very important endeavor. 

Created in 2003, the thorough IOSA audit has been developed in cooperation with international regulatory authorities and created a standard that is comparable on a world-class basis. The audit includes more than 1,000 parameters that certified airlines are re-evaluated every two years.
