Customers need to fulfil below requirements to be eligible for Complimentary Covid-19 Travel Insurance:
You must contact Chubb Assistance Hotline at +852 3723 3030 (24-hour) for hospital admission arrangement and return of mortal remains. Chubb will reimburse the medical hospitalisation expenses incurred as a result of your hospitalisation for COVID-19 treatment directly to the assistance provider.
Submit your claim for Overseas Hospital Confinement Benefit via Chubb Claim Centre at www.chubbclaims.com.hk.
You will be eligible if you fulfil all following requirements:
Complimentary COVID-19 Travel Insurance is provided between 15 December 2020 and 31 December 2021 (both dates inclusive).
Complimentary COVID-19 Travel Insurance offers the below coverages: (i) Overseas Medical Hospitalisation Expenses up to USD 100,000, (ii) Overseas Hospital Confinement Benefit of USD 100 per day up to 14 days, and (iii) Repatriation of Mortal Remains up to USD 25,000. Pre-Existing Medical Condition, travel booked or undertaken against the advice of any doctor or for seeking medical attention are not covered. Please read the Insurance Certificate for full list of exclusions.
If you meet the criteria listed in Question 1, you will automatically enjoy the cover without the need to fill in any forms or submit any documents.
If you have been confirmed as positive for COVID-19 during your journey, please contact Chubb Assistance Hotline at +852 3723 3030 and you will be assisted on hospital admission by an assistance provider. Chubb will reimburse the overseas medical hospitalisation expenses directly to the assistance provider.
For a one-way ticket, Complimentary COVID-19 Travel Insurance provides coverage up to 3 days from your departure date from Hong Kong. For round trip or multi-city ticket, Complimentary COVID-19 Travel Insurance provides coverage for the duration of your journey from your departure date from Hong Kong to (i) your return date to Hong Kong as stated in your HK Express flight ticket or (ii) up to 30 days from the departure date (whichever is earliest).
There is no cover available within your country of residence.
The cost of any COVID-19 test is not covered.
Complimentary COVID-19 Travel Insurance only covers the destination printed on your HK Express ticket and does not cover any onward destinations.
