HK Express Officially Launches its All-new “Cabin Connect” Service

Hong Kong, 23 July 2026 – Being a world-class airline means we are constantly striving to unlock new possibilities for our travellers. As Hong Kong’s only low-cost carrier, we firmly believe that highly affordable fares shouldn’t mean fewer choices—your flight experience should be yours to customise and upgrade.

Starting today, HK Express Airways (HK Express) is progressively rolling out its brand-new “Cabin Connect” in-flight service system across its fleet. Passengers no longer need to wait for the trolley to make its way down the aisle. By simply connecting their mobile devices to the designated onboard network, passengers can effortlessly order food and drinks, secure their preferred retail items, track flight progress in real time, or even upgrade their seats. Once an order is placed, our cabin crew will confirm the details, process the payment, and deliver the selection directly to the passenger's seat. It is a smarter, more seamless way to fly, right from your device.

To match the effortless ordering experience, HK Express has curated an exceptional new in-flight menu. This summer, travellers can look forward to a series of exciting culinary surprises. Bringing a beloved local classic to the skies, the legendary “Satay King” White Curry Lemongrass Pork Chop Rice—a childhood favourite for generations in Hong Kong—is now on the menu. Additionally, the airline has partnered with the much-loved local brand, A-1 Bakery, to introduce a comforting, classic Carbonara Pasta. Created by celebrity pastry chef Jimmy Lau, a decadent Pandan Basque Cheesecake is also on offer to satisfy sweet cravings—bringing these premium flavours directly onto your palate.

Looking to treat yourself after a delicious meal? The all-new, limited-edition plush keychain blind box series is now available. With just a quick tap on their personal devices, passengers can secure their favourite charm, adding a delightful element of unboxing excitement to their journey.

Craving a little extra legroom during the flight, or wanting to be among the first to disembark and kickstart your adventure? Cabin Connect introduces a hassle-free, instant seat upgrade feature. As long as seats are available, passengers can use their mobile devices to instantly request an upgrade to a front-row seat for extra legroom. Putting the choice entirely in their hands, the service truly embodies the ultimate spirit of “Gotta Go”.

From expanding our destination network to elevating our in-flight experience, we are constantly evolving to put the power of choice back in your hands. Travel at your own pace and design your own perfect journey.
