HK Express Celebrates the “Romance of Men” on Father’s Day with “Braised Tofu & Roast Pork Rice” A321 Aircraft Naming & a 50% Discount Promotion

With Father’s Day just around the corner, Hong Kong’s low-fare airline HK Express is paying tribute to dads by naming an A321 aircraft “Braised Tofu & Roast Pork Rice” – a dish symbolic of the “Romance of Men” as a hearty, down-to-earth comfort food loved by men in Hong Kong. The airline will also present a limited-time discount promotion starting tomorrow.
From 27 May 2017 (00:00) to 2 June 2017 (23:59), lovebirds will enjoy 15% off all flights to Phuket and Chiang Rai when using the promo code “HKTCEIHK”. 27 May 2017 to 24 March 2018 – allowing plenty of time to plan a sweet proposal or a dreamy destination wedding.
Having named a number of aircraft after dim sum dishes to celebrate its home base in Hong Kong, HK Express continues this tradition with “Braised Tofu & Roast Pork Rice”. The airline is acknowledging the dedication and skills that go into preparing the roast pork and sauce for the dish as a metaphor for the commitment and parenting skills that fathers give to their families. Adding to the emotional appeal of the dish is a sense of tradition passed down through generations of men in Hong Kong.
