HK Express Debuts at the Hong Kong International Airport Career Expo 2018

The Airline Plans to Fill 120 Positions by Year’s End Including Cabin Crew and Operations

Hong Kong, 04 Jul, 2018

For the first time, Hong Kong-based airline HK Express is participating in the Hong Kong International Airport Career Expo, taking place at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre from 29 June until 1 July 2018.

As part of its ongoing drive to recruit local talent, HK Express hopes to onboard bright new team members for positions across 16 sectors, including cabin services, maintenance and engineering, operations control, ground operations, e-commerce and finance.  During the three-day event, the airline will provide on-site interviews for both experienced professionals and fresh graduates who are passionate about the aviation industry.

In anticipation of impending expansions, HK Express has been continuously hiring personnel across operations. The airline expects to grow its fleet from its current 23 to 32 aircraft by 2020. It also plans to expand its route map from 26 to 32 destinations by the end of 2019.

To keep pace with business growth, HK Express plans to fill 120 additional positions with particular emphasis on cabin crew and operations staff. The latter includes the Crew Control Officer, which is responsible for staff deployment and hotel arrangements during emergency situations, as well as the Pricing and Revenue Officer, which involves analysis and determination of ticket pricing.

Whether working in operations or en route, HK Express has cultivated a healthy and happy company culture for its employees with various job perks and career development programmes. Not only do employees enjoy discounted tickets for personal leisure travel, but they can also take advantage of career development and fast-track promotion opportunities. Cabin crew members, for example, can apply for a Flight Purser position after just one year on the job.

We are proud to make a contribution to economic growth and to create a substantial number of new job opportunities in the local market, said Mr. Li Dianchun, the President of HK Express. “Throughout our expansion, we have cultivated a supportive and innovative work environment, where the best minds in aviation can thrive with promising career trajectories and strong corporate values.
