HK Express Flights Status Update

Super Typhoon Mangkhut (2nd UPDATE)

Guest and crew safety is of paramount importance to HK Express.  Since Super Typhoon Mangkhut is hitting Hong Kong bringing adverse weather conditions currently, HK Express confirms that there are further flight disruptions today (15 September) and on 16 and 17 September respectively. Details are as follows:  

Flight Status on 15, 16 and 17 September

15 September

  • Flights deferred to 17 September: UO674, UO823, UO559, UO752, UO553, UO547, UO193, UO639, UO183, UO764, UO647, UO754, UO627, UO591

16 September

  • Flights remains unchanged: UO676
  • Flights deferred to 17 September: UO43, UO1516, UO1517, UO603, UO623, UO625, UO697
  • Flights cancelled: All other flights

17 September

  • Flights remains unchanged: The rest of the flights
  • Flights deferred to 18 September: UO2992, U2993
  • Flights cancelled: UO618, UO619, UO630, UO631, UO626, UO627, UO546, UO547, UO566, UO567, UO723, UO724, UO848, UO849, UO870, UO871, UO646, UO647, UO182, UO183, UO686, UO687, UO688, UO689

An immediate notification about the flight status to all affected guests is being made via email and SMS.  Guests who are booked on flights between 15 and 17 September can select either one of the following three options:

Option 1*: Change of travel schedule departing within 30 days from the original departure schedule

  • No change fee applies
  • Fare difference will be waived

Option 2*: Change to a new route of HK Express network departing within 30 days from the original departure schedule

  • No change fee applies
  • Fare difference applies

Option 3: Full fare refund

* For Cancelled Flights to / from Osaka-Kansai: Guests who choose either option 1 or 2 can depart within two months of the original departure date and are exempted from fare difference.

One-time change without change fee is applicable to option 1 and 2. The above change is subject to seats availability and must be made before the original departure date. HK Express will continue to monitor the situation closely and will issue further updates should there be any other changes to the flight schedule. Since weather conditions may change rapidly, guests are recommended to check the latest flight status on Hong Kong International Airport’s website www.hongkongairport.com or the HK Express’ official website www.hkexpress.com before departing for the airport.
