Your Journey

Before You Fly

To facilitate process, please contact our Call Centre at 3902 0288 and share your HKID or passport number with us at least 26 hours before departure.

On the departure day, if you are a Hong Kong resident, please remember to bring along both your HKID AND a valid passport; if you are a non-Hong Kong resident, please remember to bring along your valid passport for check-in. Check-in opens at 11:30am and closes at 1:30pm, we recommend you arrive as early as possible for smooth pre-boarding processes.

Please be reminded that online check-in is not available for #UOFlycation flights, you will need to check-in at our airport counters.

Upon Arrival at the Airport

You will need to present your flight booking to enter Hong Kong International Airport. We suggest passengers to ready your booking confirmation for checking.

At the Airport

Our check-in counter will be at Terminal 1 aisle H.

You will receive a commemorative boarding badge for identification upon check-in. Please be reminded to wear the badge at all times. In addition, due to security reasons, movements in the restricted airport areas will be limited, you are required to be escorted by airport security personnel throughout your journey at the airport.

Health and Safety

Passengers on this flight will not need to undergo COVID-19 related compulsory quarantine, medical surveillance or mandatory testing after the journey is completed. However you are required to wear a face covering and practise social distancing at all times.

Carbon Emission Offset

All fares include carbon emission offset, HK Express will contribute to Fly Greener programme for each passenger over the entire flight to mitigate the climate change impact of this initiative. Based on carbon emissions calculated for these flights, we will purchase "carbon offsets" that come from projects that reduce or prevent CO2 emissions on behalf of our Customers, such as those focused on renewable energy.   1. How do I book #UOFlycation flights?
    1. Select "One way" at the flight search bar

  2. Is there any limit to booking #UOFlycation flights?
    There is no limitations on booking #UOFlycation. But you must fulfill the follow requirements:

    Hong Kong Residents
    You must be holder of a HKID and valid passport in order to participate in #UOFlycation.

    Non-Hong Kong Residents
    You must be holder of a valid passport in order to participate in #UOFlycation.

    In addition, under all circumstances you must be able to travel under your own power, or be accompanied by an adult passenger for all flights on your itinerary. Failure to adhere to this guideline or any of the items specified above may result in denied boarding and the forfeiture of all amounts associated with your booking.

  3. What is the booking period for the flights?
    You may book online up to 26 hours prior to scheduled departure time of each flight. However flight availability is limited and based on first-come-first served basis, we recommend you to book flight tickets as soon as possible.

  4. What are the dates of the flights?
    There will be in total 3 flights, on 1, 7 and 8 November 2020.

  5. Can I book #UOFlycation tickets with other promotions e.g. promo code, cash vouchers?
    You may book #UOFlycation tickets in conjunction with other promotions including promo code and cash vouchers.

  6. Are #UOFlycation tickets transferrable or refundable?
    #UOFlycation tickets are non-transferrable and non-refundable, it cannot be exchanged for any other products, services or flights.

  7. If I have input my name incorrectly when booking the ticket, how do I correct it?
    You can make minor name correction once via calling our Call Centre. An administration fee of HKD 350 will be charged. Please note that acceptance of name correction is subject to HK Express' interpretation and HK Express' decision shall be final in case of any dispute.

  8. Can I use Asia Miles to redeem #UOFlycation tickets?
    Yes, but please note that there is a minimum redemption amount of 5,000 miles.

  9. Is there a limit on no. of tickets booked by each person?
    No, however there is a maximum limit to 20 people per booking.

  10. Can I book the flights for someone else?
    Yes, you may book for your friends or family members.

  11. Can I select seats or purchase any other add ons for my flight?
    You can purchase seats, please note that middle seats will be blocked to maintain a safe social distance between passengers. However other add-on products or services(e.g. baggage, inflight meals & U-First service) are not available for #UOFlycation flights.

  12. Do I need to pay for any other surcharges?
    HKD 120 Air Passenger Departure Tax will be waived, but you will be charged in total HKD 140 for Hong Kong Airport Construction Fee and Passenger Security Charge.

  13. Are #UOFlycation flights covered by Chubb travel insurance?
    #UOFlycation flights are not covered by Chubb travel insurance.

  1. What happens if I missed my #UOFlycation flights?
    Your booking will be forfeited. #UOFlycation fares and Passenger Security Charge are non-refundable. However you may request refund of a HKD 90 Hong Kong Airport Construction Fee.

  2. Can I make changes to my #UOFlycation flight booking?
    You can make changes to your #UOFlycation booking via "Manage My Booking", or contact us via Call Centre at 3902 0288. A change fee of HKD 580 will be charged for every change on a per customer and per segment basis. Fare differences may apply to the whole booking. Changes can be made up to 48 hours before the scheduled flight departure. Please be reminded that flight availability is limited, you may not be able to make changes.

  3. If my #UOFlycation flight is cancelled, can I get a refund?
    Yes.

  1. Can I check-in to my #UOFlycation flights online?
    No, you must check-in at our airport counter.

  2. When should I arrive at the airport for check-in?
    Check-in opens at 11:30am and closes at 1:30pm on departure day, we recommend you to arrive as early as possible for smooth pre-boarding processes.

  3. What documents are required to get onboard?
    If you are a Hong Kong resident, you will need to present both your HKID AND a valid passport; if you are a non-Hong Kong resident, you will need to present your valid passport upon check-in.

  4. What's the carry on baggage limitation?
    Each passenger is allowed one carry on baggage up to 7KG, plus one personal item. If you are travelling with infants, you are only allowed to bring foldable strollers as long as they meet the requirements of our Carry On Baggage policy.

  5. Can I bring hand sanitiser onboard?
    Alcohol-based disinfectant and sanitiser products (including hand sanitiser gel, alcohol wipes and medical alcohol) can be accepted in carry-on baggage if they meet certain requirements, details please see Health & Safety.

  6. Can I shop at stores or pick up duty free items in the restricted area of the aiport?
    Please note that you will not be able to shop nor picking up duty free items in the retricted area. Movements will be limited and you are required to be escorted by airport security personnel at all times. If needed, we suggest Customers to shop via our inflight sales.

  1. Will there be any inflight meals or drinks avaiable for sale?
    There will not be any hot meals, snacks or beverage available for sale on #UOFlycation flights.

  1. Do I need to undergo quarantine or adhere to any other entry requirement for the flight?
    According to Department of Health, passengers of #UOFlycation flights do not need to undergo COVID-19 related compulsory quarantine, medical surveillance or mandatory testing.

  2. Is there any COVID-19 related measures on these flights?
    Safeguarding the health and safety of our Customers and crew is our top priority. We have implemented hygienic measures such as seat spacing and group boarding. For more details, please visit our Safeguarding Your Health page.
