Check-in at PRD / Macau

Travelling via Hong Kong has never been that easy. Customers from the Pearl River Delta (PRD) region / Macau can check in to their HK Express flights via the upstream check-in service at selected ferry ports and land points.

A. Ferry Ports

Customers can check their baggage directly to the final destination, obtain boarding pass and apply for refund of the pre-paid Air Passenger Departure Tax Refund at most of the ferry ports.

The following ferry ports are available:

  • Dongguan Humen
  • Guangzhou Nansha
  • Guangzhou Lianhuashan
  • Shenzhen Fuyong
  • Shenzhen Shekou
  • Zhongshan
  • Zhuhai Jiuzhou
  • Macau (Maritime Ferry Terminal)
  • Macau (Taipa)

 

To check in at upstream ferry ports,  you must arrive at the check-in counter at least 60 minutes before your ferry's scheduled departure time with the following items:

  • A valid ferry ticket
  • A valid HK Express ticket with a confirmed flight booking for same day travel (including mid-night departures)
  • A valid travel document and entry / transit visa for your destination if required

In addition, minimum connection time is required between your ferry arrival time and flight departure time. Please find more details below:

Guests who have completed check-in process at upstream ferry ports and travelling with check-in baggage 80 minutes before flight departure
Guests who have completed check-in process at upstream ferry ports and travelling without check-in baggage 65 minutes before flight departure

B. Land Points

You can check in and get your boarding pass at the following land points:

  • Shenzhen International Airport
  • Shenzhen Kingkey Banner Centre

To check in at the upstream land points, you must possess:

  1. A valid coach or limousine ticket
  2. A valid HK Express ticket with confirmed flight booking for same day travel
  3. A valid travel document and entry / transit visa for your destination if required.

Upon arriving at Hong Kong International Airport, please proceed to HK Express counters located at Row H of Terminal 1 for baggage check-in. To ensure there is sufficient time, we recommend you to arrive at least 1.5 hours before the flight departure, and baggage check-in services stop 1 hour before departure.

If you do not have any check-in baggage, you can go straight to the gate with your boarding pass and enjoy. Customers are reminded to arrive at the boarding gate at least 40 minutes before departure to prepare for boarding, and gate will be closed 20 minutes before departure.

HK Express shall not be responsible for any misconnection arising from unforeseen circumstances or incidents beyond its control. We strongly recommend our Customers to reserve additional time for your connecting flight.
