HK Express Celebrates Chinese New Year with Double Happiness

Recent Announcement of Bangkok Route and Ranked ‘Top 10 Safest Low Cost Carriers’ in the World

Hong Kong, 28 Jan, 2019

To celebrate the Year of the Pig, Hong Kong-based airline HK Express combined a Chinese New Year celebration with two other amazing milestones – the upcoming Bangkok route and being named one of the world’s ‘Top 10 Safest Low Cost Carriers for 2019’.

To commemorate the incredible achievements and to celebrate the forthcoming Chinese New Year, HK Express’ very own God of Fortune joined hands with Mr. Jonathan Hutt, Commercial Director, and Ms. Sarima Chindamat, Director of Tourism Authority of Thailand (Hong Kong Office) earlier today, on 28 January 2019 to greet the guests of flight UO753 before their flight to Chiang Mai. The guests were presented with lai see (red packets) containing discount code and a traditional Thai design purse.

One of the red packets, however, contained an extra surprise for Mr. Hu. Hidden inside the lucky envelope, Mr. Hu found a voucher entitling him to a set of roundtrip tickets to Bangkok for two, along with U-First service and 20KG baggage allowance! Two other guests also received a special gift of HKD500 voucher inside their lai see, which can be used for future HK Express bookings.

“What a wonderful surprise for the Year of the Pig! I can’t believe I am the lucky passenger!” exclaimed Mr. Hu. “I really look forward to visiting Bangkok with my family on HK Express!”

“Heading into the Year of the Pig, HK Express remains committed to safe, reliable and world-class customer service,” said Jonathan Hutt, HK Express Commercial Director. “In January, HK Express not only commenced service to Nagasaki, we also announced our new direct route to Bangkok! On top of that, we have also been awarded by AirlineRatings.com as one of the world’s Top 10 Safest Low-Cost Carriers for the fourth year running — an achievement that we will strive to maintain in the new year.”
