We would like to inform you that the redemption of prize tickets^ of “COVID-19 Vaccination Free Air Tickets Lucky Draw" for Takamatsu, Ishigaki and Kagoshima will be available soon. For redemption details, please refer to the upcoming email, which will be sent from 30 January to 1 February, and the latest update on this website.

^ If you have accepted the offer for an optional destination from 1 November 2022 to 31 December 2022, once the redemption code has been used, you would have been deemed to have voluntarily accepted the offer for the optional destination, hence the ticket for your original prize destination would no longer be available.

We would like to inform you that the travel and redemption periods for prize tickets of “COVID-19 Vaccination Free Air Tickets Lucky Draw" have been extended. Please refer to the details listed in the "Redemption arrangements".

HK Express has suspended the following routes during the pandemic, and currently planning to resume scheduled services to these destinations in the second quarter of 2023. Hence, we would like to offer the following options to those who have won prizes to these destinations.

The redemption code for the optional destination has been sent to you via email from 1 to 7 November 2022. If you wish to accept this offer, please follow the instructions in the email to redeem your ticket. Once the redemption code has been used, you would have been deemed to have voluntarily accepted the offer for the optional destination, and the ticket for your original prize destination will hence be forfeited.

 

*If you wish to keep the tickets for your original prize destination:

Your original prize destination will be retained if you do not choose to accept the offer of the optional destination, no further action is required for now. We will notify you with the redemption and travel periods once scheduled services to your prize destination are available. Updates will be available via email and our website.

If you still couldn't find the email, you can contact us via email at AAredemption@hkexpress.com with your name, phone number, email address and reference number from your prize notification.   • The last date of the travel period is the last departure date or last return date?
    The last date of the travel period is the latest date of your return flight. Please plan ahead for your journey. 

  • I had a typo on my name, what should I do?
    For minor name corrections, please proceed with redemption first with the redemption code provided, then contact our Customer Connect Team by email to AAredemption@hkexpress.com with booking reference / PNR, a photo of your travel document with the correct name and your phone number for further assistance. Please note a change fee of HKD 350 per customer will be charged for each booking. Corrections due to typos are limited to a maximum of 3 letters.

  • Can I book tickets for my companion(s) during the redemption process?
    The redemption code is only available for redemption by the winner only. If you have travel companions, please book their tickets with us separately. As ticket and seat bookings are first-come-first-served, we cannot guarantee the winner and their companions can book on the same flight/ adjacent seat. If the only companion is a child (2-11 years old), you can book the child ticket by yourself and then contact our Customer Connect Team via AAredemption@hkexpress.com to make a remark that you will be travelling together. If the only companion is an infant (under two years old who does not occupy a seat), please get in touch with the Customer Connect Team to book the infant ticket. If you book the child or infant ticket through HK Express website or app, and the birth year is not available, please select the closest year first and then contact the Customer Connect Team to change it to the correct year for free after the booking is made. Please ensure that the age of children or infants still qualify on the travel date.

  • Can I sit with my companion(s)? 
    Choosing seat is optional. If you do not choose your seat in advance, the seat will be assigned to you upon check-in. If you would like to guarantee a specific seat, we encourage you to do so during booking and the related fee will be charged accordingly to the choice of seat option.

  • I found my HKID prefix and first 4 digits on the winner list, am I a winner?
    Since the prefix and the first 4 digits of the Hong Kong Identity Card are not uniquely identifiable numbers (it means more than one person can share the same numbers), the winning reference number must be provided at the same time to confirm the eligibility for the free tickets. If you do not have the reference number, please provide your registered name, your HKID, and registered email to AAredemption@hkexpress.com, and we will provide you with further assistance.

  • I have changed my email or unable to log in with my earlier registered email, what should I do?
    Please provide your registered name,HKID, and your original registered email to AAredemption@hkexpress.com, and we will provide you with further assistance.

  • I had a typo on my HKID numbers when I register, can I revise it?
    Please provide your registered name, HKID, and your registered email to AAredemption@hkexpress.com, and we will provide you with further assistance.

  • I am the winner of Airport Staff and Airport Authority Employees lucky draws and I have lost my email access due to end of employment, how can I get the redemption code?
    Please contact our Customer Connect Team by email to AAredemption@hkexpress.com with proof of employment and existing identity documents, and we will provide you with further assistance.

  • Are award tickets transferable or exchangeable for cash?
    Award tickets cannot be transferred nor exchangeable for cash. 

  • Could I change the origin or destination of the award ticket?
    Changes to the origin or destination of the award tickets are not permitted.

    The ticket redemption code can only be used for booking ONE single destination, listed on the Redemption Code email. The award tickets are only applicable to flights operated by HK Express. Each itinerary must either originate from or end in Hong Kong. The redemption code cannot be redeemed for flights to other destinations which are not listed in the Redemption Code Email.

  • Could I change the passenger’s name?
    Passport name is required during ticket booking. This will be matched with the original lucky draw registration form. Hence, the name must match with details provided in the form. According to the Terms & Conditions, registered names shall not be amended. 

  • Could I change the date of my flights?
    Changes to travel dates shall be subject to a rebooking fee of HKD580 per sector, subject to availability. Rebookings shall be made via our Customer Connect Hotline, and must be made before the departure time of the booked flight.

  • Are taxes, surcharges and any other fees included in the free tickets?
    According to the Terms & Conditions, the winner shall pay all taxes, surcharges and any other fees applicable to the tickets.

  • Why are some of the dates not available, and differ from what I searched during the normal booking process?
    The tickets awarded under the Lucky Draw are subject to embargo periods. Tickets redeemed by the winners are restricted to only the FUN fare category on a first-come, first-served basis.

  • Do winners need to provide proof of receiving two doses of vaccination?
    Yes. Winners are required to provide their proof of receiving two doses* of COVID-19 vaccines in Hong Kong under the COVID-19 Vaccination Programme implemented by the Hong Kong SAR Government on or before 30 September 2021 (Hong Kong Time) during check-in.

    *For individuals previously infected with COVID-19, they will be eligible if they have received at least one dose of COVID-19 vaccine with the same conditions.

  • Could I cancel my flight after redemption? Will I get a refund?
    Tickets awarded and issued under this Lucky Draw shall not be refundable, reroutable or transferable.

    If your departure flight originates from Hong Kong, the Hong Kong International Airport Departure Tax, Passenger Security Charge and the Airport Construction Fee may be refunded upon request. Departure taxes will be refunded subject to local regulations. All applications are subject to approval, with a processing time of and an approximately six to eight weeks from the date of the request.

  • What is the purpose of organising this lucky draw?
    To support the HKSAR Government’s COVID-19 Vaccination Programme, this lucky draw is hosted to give away air tickets to Hong Kong residents who have received COVID-19 vaccination.

  • Who is the organiser of this lucky draw?
    Airport Authority Hong Kong (AA) sponsors air tickets in this lucky draw for Hong Kong residents who have received COVID-19 vaccination. HK Express will help to give away the air tickets by lucky draw.

  • What are the details of this air tickets lucky draw event?
    The AA will give away 60,000 air tickets by lucky draw to Hong Kong residents and Airport Staff who received COVID-19 vaccination. Of the 60,000 air tickets to be distributed by lucky draw, 50,000 will be given to Hong Kong residents who have received COVID-19 vaccination before the end of September 2021, while the remaining 10,000 tickets are for Airport Staff who have been vaccinated before the same deadline. Meanwhile, the AA will purchase another 1,000 air tickets for giving away via lucky draw to AA employees vaccinated before the end of September 2021.

    The lucky draw hosted by HK Express will include 25,000 air tickets to 14 destinations. Participants can register from 10:00am on 16 September 2021 until 11:59pm on 30 September 2021 (HK Time, based on server submission time).

  • What are the prizes for the lucky draw?
    The prizes for the lucky draw for Hong Kong residents include 25,000 round-trip FUN fare category tickets from Hong Kong to selected destinations by HK Express (taxes and surcharges not included).

  • What are the destinations of the awarded tickets in the lucky draw?
    The awarded tickets include different destination groups:
    1) Japan & Korea - Tokyo (Narita)/ Tokyo (Haneda)/ Osaka/ Fukuoka/ Nagoya/ Takamatsu/ Kagoshima/ Okinawa/ Ishigaki/ Seoul/ Jeju/ Busan
    2) Southeast Asia - Bangkok/ Phuket
    3) Any of the above

  • Who are eligible to participate in this lucky draw?
    The lucky draw is open to individuals who fulfill the following requirements:

    1) Permanent or non-permanent residents holding a valid Hong Kong Identity Card; and
    2) Having received two doses of vaccines* on or before 30 September 2021 in Hong Kong under the COVID-19 Vaccination Programme implemented by the HKSAR Government
    *Persons previously contracted COVID-19 are also eligible after having received one dose of COVID-19 vaccine if meeting all other conditions.

    Staff of HK Express, AA and their agencies / contractors who are involved in the design, organisation, execution, promotion or administration of the relevant lucky draw are not eligible to participate in the relevant lucky draw.

  • What kind of information do I need to submit during registration?
    1) Full name as shown on passport (for issuance of air tickets)
    2)Prefix and the first 4 digits of Hong Kong Identity Card number
    3)Contact email address
    4)Declaration on having received two doses of vaccines on or before 30 September 2021 in Hong Kong under the COVID-19 Vaccination Programme implemented by the HKSAR Government.


  • How do I participate in the lucky draw?
    Participants should register via "Join Now" button on this website. Sign in to their existing HK Express account or register, then complete the register form for submission of their entrants. If participants were reward-U members or have subscribed to our newsletter previously, they must register with new HK Express accounts to participate in this lucky draw.

  • Do I need to be over 18 years old to participate in the lucky draw?
    There is no age limit for this lucky draw. Eligible individuals who fulfil the requirements under the COVID-19 Vaccination Programme implemented by the HKSAR Government can participate in the lucky draw (Hong Kong residents aged 12 or above are eligible for receiving free vaccination).

  • When will I know the result of the lucky draw?
    Winners will be notified individually via email on 8 October 2021 and the result announcement will be published on this website and two local newspapers – Sing Tao Daily and The Standard on 12 October 2021.

  • How many times can each participant win?
    Each participant is entitled to win once during the whole lucky draw event.
    The whole lucky draw event refers to the lucky draws which the air tickets are sponsored by Airport Authority Hong Kong to support the HKSAR Government’s COVID-19 Vaccination Programme (including the lucky draws for giving away air tickets to staff of Airport Authority Hong Kong, staff of Hong Kong International Airport, and Hong Kong residents, inclusive of the lucky draws hosted by HK Express and Cathay Pacific respectively).

  • Can I choose the origin or destination of the air tickets?
    All the awarded tickets must be departing from Hong Kong. Participants can choose their preferred group of destinations during the registration of the lucky draw.

  • Do winners need to provide proof of vaccination?
    Yes. Winners are required to provide their proof of vaccination during flight check-in.

  • Will my personal details provided for the lucky draw be kept safe? Will they be transferred to other uses?
    All personal data collected by HK Express during registration will be only used for all purposes relating to the lucky draws, and will be properly stored and encrypted by the computer system.

  • How to redeem the awarded tickets?
    Winners will receive the winning email notification on 8 October 2021. As there are still travel restrictions and quarantine requirements in force globally, HK Express will send the winners a unique code for flight redemption in separate email later when the situation stabilizes.

  • After I receive the winning notification email, when can I redeem the awarded tickets? Is there any deadline for ticket redemption?
    As there are still travel restrictions and quarantine requirements in force globally, HK Express will issue another email to the winners with details on the redemption of the awarded tickets upon the situation stabilizes.

  • Can I change the origin or destination of the awarded ticket?
    No, changes of the origin or destination of the awarded ticket are not allowed.

  • Is the awarded ticket transferable or exchangeable to cash?
    The awarded ticket is not transferable nor convertible to cash.
  • I am a Hong Kong resident but I have received my vaccination outside Hong Kong. Can I register for the lucky draw?
    No. Only Hong Kong residents who have received vaccination in Hong Kong under the COVID-19 Vaccination Programme implemented by the HKSAR Government are eligible to participate in this lucky draw.
