What is HK Express Flexi?

HK Express Flexi allows passengers to:

Change travel dates once per flight sector..
Apply the benefit to any unflown sectors in the same booking.

How to Purchase:

You can add HK Express Flexi during the initial booking stage via:

Eligibility:

Only available for new bookings.
Must be purchased at least 72 hours before departure.
All passengers in the booking must purchase HK Express Flexi to be eligible.

How to Use HK Express Flexi:

STEP 1 / 4

Go to Manage My Booking (MMB)

Select the booking with HK Express Flexi.

STEP 2 / 4

Click [Change Flight]

Select the flight leg you wish to change. Sectors eligible for HK Express Flexi will display an active Flexi label. If the label appears greyed out, the benefit has already been used for that sector.

STEP 3 / 4

Select New Travel Date

Pick your new travel date/time. Changes must be made at least 48 hours before departure.

STEP 4 / 4

Flight Date Change Confirmation

Confirm your new travel date. The standard HKD 580 change fee per passenger, per sector will be waived under HK Express Flexi. Please note that any fare difference for the new flight will still apply.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can passengers use HK Express Flexi to waive the change fee for unflown sectors, even if they have already used it on othersector?
Yes, the entitlement applies to any unflown sectors within the booking.
Example: If a passenger has already used HK Express Flexi to change the Hong Kong → Tokyo sector, they can still use it to change the Tokyo → Hong Kongsector later.
If a booking includes multiple passengers, can HK Express Flexi be applied to selected individuals within the same booking?
Yes, but they will need to contact the Customer Connect to apply it selectively.
Can passengers reuse HK Express Flexi on the same flight leg multiple times?
No, it is valid for a one-time use per sector. Any subsequent changes will incur a fee of HKD 580 per passenger, per sector.
Can HK Express Flexi be transferred to another passenger from a different booking?
No, the entitlement is non-transferable and must be used by the original passenger within the same booking it was purchased for.
In the event of flight disruption, will the HK Express Flexi entitlement be forfeited or voided?
No, it will remain valid and unaffected.
Can the HK Express Flexi benefit be used to change the travel destination?
No, it can only be used to modify travel dates. It does not cover changes to the destination or other types of modifications.
Does the change fee include any fare difference?
No, similar to the standard HKD 580 change fee, HK Express Flexi does not cover fare differences. Any increase in fare must be paid separately.

Terms & Conditions

Eligibility & Purchase
1. The HK Express Flexi fee is HKD 180 for each flight segment per passenger. By paying this fee, passengers can change the travel date / time once for each unused flight segment within the same booking at a later date. This benefit is applicable only to flights operated by HK Express. 
2. This HK Express Flexi option is available for purchase only for new bookings made at the initial booking stage via the HK Express Official Website, Mobile App, or WeChat Mini-program and provided that the departure time of the first flight segment is more than 72 hours from the time of purchase.
3. Every passenger in the same booking must pay the HK Express Flexi for each segment for any of them to be eligible for the benefit.
  
  Example
  Berry and Teddy book tickets to travel together from Hong Kong to Tokyo and back in the same booking. If Berry wants the flexibility to change the travel date and time for one of his flight segments later, both he and Teddy must pay the HK Express Flexi fee: Since each has two flight segments (Hong Kong to Tokyo and Tokyo to Hong Kong), the total HK Express Flexi fee will be HKD 720 (HKD 180 per flight segment per passenger × 2 passengers × 2 flight segments).
4. The ability to change the travel date/time for each flight segment using the HK Express Flexi benefit is available only once. Further changes to the same segment will incur a standard fee of HKD 580 per passenger, per segment.
5. Changes to the travel date/time are only permitted up to 48 hours before departure.
Usage Rules & Benefits
1. Passengers can make flight changes via the "Manage My Booking" page. There will be a status label for each flight segment indicating whether the HK Express Flexi benefit has been used. If a flight segment is still eligible for a change, the status label will appear active. Once a one-time date/time change is made, the status label will appear inactive or dimmed, indicating that the entitlement of HK Express Flexi for that flight segment has been utilised.
  
  Example
  Berry has used the HK Express Flexi benefit to change the travel date of the Hong Kong to Tokyo segment. He can still apply the HK Express Flexi benefit to change the travel date/time of the Tokyo to Hong Kong segment.
  
  However, if Berry has already used the HK Express Flexi benefit to change both the travel dates of Hong Kong to Tokyo and Tokyo to Hong Kong segments, he will not be able to make a second change to any segment under his HK Express Flexi entitlement. Instead, he will need to pay the standard change fee of HKD 580 per passenger, per segment to make any further travel date or time changes.
2. Changes are restricted to travel dates/times only. Changes to destinations or other booking details are not permitted.
3. The entitlement is non-transferable and must be used by the original passenger(s) within the same booking.
4. For changes involving intermodal segments, passengers should contact Customer Connect for further assistance.
5. If a booking includes multiple passengers, the HK Express Flexi benefit can be applied to specific individuals. To selectively apply the benefit, passengers should contact Customer Connect for assistance.
Fare Difference & Add-on Conditions
1. A fare difference will be charged if the new flight or tax is more expensive.
2. No refund will be provided if the fare or tax for the new flight is lower than the original.
3. Our add-ons are subject to availability. Please note that your selected add-ons from the original booking may not be available for your flight segment with the new travel date/time. If you have paid for your add-ons but they are unavailable for your flight segment with the new travel date/time, you will not receive a refund.
Refund & Disruption Policy
1. HK Express Flexi fees are non-refundable under any circumstances.
2. In the event of a flight disruption, you do not need to use your benefits under the HK Express Flexi to change your travel date or time, as these changes can be made according to our standard flight disruption policy.
Miscellaneous
1. HK Express reserves the right to modify, add or remove any terms of these Terms & Conditions at any time. Notification of these changes will be communicated via the designated channels, including but not limited to posting on the HK Express’ website/ social media and changes to these Terms & Conditions will be effective once notice of such changes has been posted.
2. This Terms & Conditions shall be construed in accordance with and governed by the laws of Hong Kong Special Administrative Region of the People’s Republic of China.
3. In the event that these Terms & Conditions are translated into another language, the English version shall prevail in the case of any discrepancies or conflicts between the translations.
4. In case of any disputes, HK Express reserves the right of final decision.
