HK Express Officially Launches New Routes to Cheongju and Daegu in Korea

The Sole Airline in the Greater Bay Area with Direct Flights to Five Major Korean Cities

Hong Kong, 6 June 2025 – HK Express Airways (HK Express) has officially launched its new routes to Cheongju International Airport (CJJ) and Daegu International Airport (TAE) in Korea, with operations commencing on 5 June and 6 June 2025 respectively! With seven weekly round-trip flights to these two destinations, travellers can now dive deep into central and south-eastern Korea—Gotta Go explore new horizons!

HK Express Chief Commercial Officer KK Ong said: “Korea is a cornerstone of HK Express’ Northeast Asia network. With the addition of Cheongju and Daegu, we are now the only airline in the Greater Bay Area offering direct flights to five major Korean cities (Seoul, Busan, Jeju, Cheongju, and Daegu), with nearly 50 weekly round-trip flights. This gives travellers unmatched flexibility to mix and match their itineraries for a more dynamic travel experience.”

To celebrate the new routes, HK Express has teamed-up with popular global character IP – “JOGUMAN”, to launch a special “JOGUMAN meets HK Express GOTTA GO YOUR WAY”-themed merchandise collection. Through JOGUMAN characters, HK Express brand’s philosophy of “daring to be different” is perfectly interpreted. Passengers on the inaugural flights to Cheongju and Daegu on 5 and 6 June will receive special “JOGUMAN meets HK Express GOTTA GO YOUR WAY” souvenirs. Additionally, a curated lineup of “JOGUMAN meets HK Express GOTTA GO YOUR WAY” Special Edition items—including versatile tote bags, lightweight eco-bag sets, adorable plush keyring buddies—will be available onboard all HK Express flights and online (Cathay Shop) from mid-June, accompanying travellers across the airline’s Asian destinations.
