Yes, you can. Simply use the contact person’s details and check the first box on the “Passenger Details” page during the booking process — you’ll then be guided through the registration steps.
If you registered while booking, don’t forget to reset your password via the website, app, or the password reset email sent after registration.
On the Sign In page, click “Forgot Password?” Make sure the email address or mobile number you use has already been verified via a One-Time Password (OTP). You’ll then receive an email or SMS shortly to reset your password.
For security reasons, you can request a password reset email up to 5 times and an SMS up to 3 times within a 24-hour period.
Please ensure the email address or mobile number you are using is the same one you used to register your MyUO account and that it has been verified via a One-Time Password (OTP).
To check your verification status, please visit the “Profile Update” page after signing in. If a green tick icon appears next to your email address or mobile number, it means it has been successfully verified via OTP.
If you wish to sign in using both your email address and mobile number, go to the “Profile Update” page, click “Update/Validate” next to each, and follow the prompts to complete the verification process.

Your booking records will appear under “My Bookings” only if the booking was completed while you were signed in. If you made the booking without signing in, it will not be displayed in “My Bookings”, even if the contact email matches your account email.
In the mobile app, booking records can be viewed under “My Trip”. However, if you uninstall the app, booking records will no longer be accessible in “My Trip” unless you use the “Retrieve Booking” function.
You can always manage and retrieve your booking using the 6-character booking reference (PNR) along with your first and last name. Yes. Traveller details can be edited on the “Passenger Details” page, but the Primary Contact information is linked to your account and cannot be changed.
Even if the traveller(s) included in the booking are MyUO account members, they will not be able to view the booking in their own accounts. However, they can still manage it using the “Manage My Booking” feature.
You can also add friends and family as travel companions on the “Profile Update” page in your MyUO account, allowing you to quickly select their details from a drop-down list during future bookings.
To sign in, click “Sign in with Cathay Member account” on the member sign-in page. Please make sure you have already created a MyUO account that is linked to your Cathay Membership account.
To register, if you don’t already have a MyUO account, simply click “Sign in with Cathay Member account” on the member sign-in page. You’ll then be guided to register for a MyUO account first.
On the Cathay Member sign-in page, you’ll need to sign in using either your password or a passkey (available on the website only). For instructions on setting up a passkey, please refer to this FAQ.
After signing in to your MyUO account, go to the “My Cathay Account” page, click “Link my Cathay and MyUO accounts,” and follow the instructions.
For security reasons, you’ll need to periodically re-authenticate the link between your Cathay Member and MyUO accounts in order to use your miles.
Please ensure that your first name, last name, email address, and mobile number are exactly the same (watch out for extra spaces) in both your MyUO and Cathay Member accounts. Additionally, the email address and mobile number linked to your MyUO account must be verified via OTP. If you’ve updated any of this information in either account, be sure to update it in the other as well to successfully link the two accounts.
You can use Asia Miles to pay for fares and Extras (except for travel insurance and carbon offset). Taxes, surcharges, and other fees cannot be paid with miles.
To pay with miles, you must first link your MyUO account with your Cathay Membership account. Once the linkage is complete, you can start booking. On the payment page, you’ll see the “Miles Plus Cash” option, where you can use a slider or enter the number of Asia Miles you’d like to redeem.
After paying the remaining balance with a credit card, you’ll be redirected to the Cathay website to authorise the miles redemption by entering a verification code or using a passkey (available on the website only).
For a smoother experience, we strongly recommend signing in and completing the booking on the same device and browser. Otherwise, you may need to re-authorise the linkage.
We strongly recommend signing in and staying on the same device and browser when redeeming your miles. Please ensure the mobile number on your Cathay Membership account is verified, as it is required to authorise the miles redemption. If it hasn’t been verified, visit your Cathay Membership account to complete the process. For more details, please check here.
If you encounter any issues with miles redemption, please contact our Customer Care Team for assistance.
Travel companions in your MyUO account are not the same as the redemption group in your Cathay Membership account.
To book with other passengers using full miles redemption, you must add them to your redemption group in your Cathay Membership account. You can register the first five nominees in your redemption group for free. Please note that child passengers (aged 2–11) cannot be redeemed on their own and must travel with at least one adult in the booking. For more details, please check here.
